Hi After Inspection of the tap image. I think that it was probably done by merging two images with photoshop. As for the plastic effect, this can also be achieved with photoshop quite easily . On a very close inspection, the sky next to the tap has had been edited. Also the shadow does not look 100%. Saying that, whom ever made this, has done a good job.
